My good friend, Tony Mangia, who hosts the "Tony Mangia Show," participated in a special event this month supporting the 2009 International Day of Italian Cuisine at the Italian Culinary Academy in NYC. It was hosted by Gruppo Virtuale Cuochi Italiani (GVCI).The goal of this organization is to preserve the skill and quality of authentic Italian cuisine. The group is comprised of top Italian chefs from all over the world. Their belief is that Italian cuisine should be prepared in its traditional and authentic ways. The event marks their second anniversary and Risotto alla Milanese was the dish of celebration.
