CGNY, a group of young Italians and Italian Americans in New York, is presenting the first-ever Young Italian Music Festival on October 28th at the hip Manhattan venue, Hudson Terrace. From Daniele Stefani of Milan, a classically trained guitarist turned singer-songwriter and pop star in Italy (Festival di Sanremo 2003 – “Chiaraluna”), to the celebrated artists Max De Angelis of Rome (Sanremo 2005 – “Sono qui per questo”) and Daniele Battaglia of Bologna (Sanremo 2008 – “Voce nel Vento”), to local Italian American artists such as Gaetano Fava infusing Italian pop classics with their own unique voices, the line-up is sure to wow – and to change your notions about the genre of Italian music for good.
