Authentic Italian Cookies.

I'm at my sister's house today, we're making Italian cookies. Ok, for those of you this is the real deal cookie, not that store bought crap or pawned off recipe from someone who thinks they're Italian. These cookies are straight out of Calabria. Speaking of Calabria, my mother is off to Italy tomorrow. So, in order to get some of the Italian baking done before she leaves we've embarked on the big assembly line of making cookies. We're making Italian knot cookies with the frosting and colorful toppings, then we'll move onto a very simple Italian cookie with some Sambuca. I will say, I'm more of the spectator than baker.
